Confession and Forgiveness

P:                   Blessed be the Holy Trinity, + one God, full of compassion and mercy, abounding in steadfast love.

C:                   Amen.

P:                  Trusting God’s promise of forgiveness, let us confess our sin against God and one another.

Silence is kept for reflection.

P:                  Eternal God our creator,

C:                   in you we live and move and have our being.  Look upon us, your children, the work of your hands.  Forgive us all our offenses, and cleanse us from proud thoughts and empty desires.  By your grace draw us near to you, our refuge and our strength; through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen.

P:                   Since we are justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.  God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit given to us.  In the mercy of almighty God, Christ died for us while we were still sinners; and for his sake, God + forgives you all your sins.

  • ·         For our Special Appeal for July, we are supporting The Brian Rude Mission in El Salvador. If you are donating to the Special Appeal, please designate your cheque to “Special Appeal”. 
  • ·         THANK YOU so much for your generous support for the recent appeal by CLWR for soccer balls and pumps for the gift of play to children living in or near refugee camps. You have provided 27 balls and 3 pumps towards CLWR’s goal of 500 soccer balls. Thank you again so much for your generosity. 
  • ·         The PLBC Annual Jamboree will take place on Sunday, August 13th, featuring the 500th Anniversary Reformation Commemoration Service. The music and events will begin at 2:30 pm. There will be a pot-luck supper at 5:30 pm. Hot dogs and hamburgers will be provided by the Trinity Men’s Group, sponsored by the Camp Board. A Reformation Commemoration Service will begin at 7:00 pm with Rev. Janice Whitelock officiating. All are welcome.  The Adult Camp will be held from Aug. 14th to the 17th with Rev. Janice Whitelock leading the Bible Study sessions around the Theme “John’s Gospel”. There are brochures on the table in the entrance for registration forms and more information. 
  • ·         The east (back) doors will be locked at 10:05 am on Sunday mornings following the beginning of worship and before the beginning of Sunday School.  The main entrance (glass doors) will remain open.
  • ·         Please remember to lock your vehicle anytime while at the church.  Items have been taken from one of our member's vehicle recently.  In a similar vein, please don't leave valuables/keys, etc. in pockets or anywhere at the back door; in the past, items have been taken during worship services and meetings.
  • ·         Do you have trouble hearing parts of the Worship Service?                                         * For minor hearing issues, sound enhancement devices are available.  Please see Diane Primeau or an usher to arrange for your personal unit.                                           * If you use a hearing aid, please select the “T-coil” option.  If you have any questions or concerns, please see Diane Primeau.
  • ·         Trinity Lutheran Church has a Prayer Chain. Requests for prayer can be made through the church office. 
  • ·         If you have lost any item of property, there is a Lost & Found container on the shelf by the back door. Please check there.
  • ·         The youth group has a PowerPlus number if anyone wants to donate bottles. All you need to do is attach the number below to each bag and drop them off at the bottle depot.
