P:                 During the season of Lent we are called to return to the Lord with all our heart.  Let us confess our sin and seek reconciliation with God and neighbour.

P:                 Merciful God,

C:                 you sent Jesus Christ to save the lost.  We confess that we have strayed from you and turned aside from your way.  We fail in love, neglect justice, and ignore your truth.  Have mercy on us and wash away our sin.  Create in us clean hearts for the sake of Jesus Christ our Saviour.  Amen.

P:                 Behold, now is the acceptable time; now is the day of salvation.  Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us all our sins, and bring us to everlasting life; through + Christ our Lord.

O God, with steadfast love you draw us to yourself, and in mercy you receive our prayers.   • ·         For our Lenten Service this week, we have been invited to attend the Parish Mission 2018 being hosted by Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Sexsmith.  The theme for the mission is “Anchors of Hope” and the presenter is Father Leo English from St. Joseph’s Church.  We are invited to gather at Immaculate Conception for this evening in place of our gathering.   • ·         The Annual Meeting of the Peace Lutheran Bible Camp is at St. John’s Lutheran Church on March 22 at 7:00 pm. Anyone needing a ride meet at the church at 6:00 pm. 
  • ·         The Special Appeal for March and April 2018 is for Pastor Brian Rude and his ministry in El Salvador.  If you give to this appeal, please write “Special Appeal” in the memo of the cheque or on the envelope.
  • ·         Interested in becoming a Member?  All those who are interesting in becoming a church member or have questions about membership, please speak with Pastor Greg.
  • ·         The east (back) doors will be locked at 10:05 am on Sunday mornings following the beginning of worship and before the beginning of Sunday School.  The main entrance (glass doors) will remain open.
